Frequently Asked Questions
How does the tool prevent Shopify 3-option limit errors?
Shopify allows a maximum of three variant option names (Option1, Option2, Option3). When merging products that already contain multiple options, our interactive option manager displays an alert and lets you designate which existing attribute to overwrite or drop, avoiding import rejections.
What happens to product images during splitting?
The tool assigns each variant's specific image as the featured image of the new standalone product. If the Copy extra gallery images toggle is checked, all secondary lifestyle and gallery images from the original product are duplicated across each newly created child record.
Are my catalog CSV files stored on the server?
No. Uploaded files are processed in-memory during server execution and streamed directly back to your browser as a download attachment. No catalog rows or customer details are written to persistent server storage.
